Mission Statement:
Our mission is to nourish the minds of our children by bringing them together in a safe environment working towards a common goal and educate them on important causes in order to shape strong communities.
What is A Child Writes?
A Child Writes is a free, safe environment for kids to come together, be matched with online PenPals and write to one another without the need to share personal information. Members are invited to join fun, moderated online parties hosted on the A Child Writes site, which gives them the opportunity to interact with other children within the same age range. During the moderated parties the conversation will be guided on a specific topic with fun age appropriate games and prizes to win. There will never be non-moderated chats open on A Child Writes.
A Child Writes will feature a different cause, charity or organization each month. All members are encouraged to create a card, color a picture or make a small craft to be distributed to those affected by or involved with the featured cause. At the end of each month A Child Writes will hold a contest where three winners will be randomly chosen out of the members who sent in a card to benefit that month’s cause. The prizes will be allocated as follows: one grand prize and two runner up prizes. Prizes will vary each month.
A Child Writes offers a Parent Resource area including informative articles and personal experiences shared by experts in the field of the featured cause. These articles will help the parents better understand the cause being featured as well as provide tips and insight on how to teach their children about their communities around them.

How does it work?
Once you sign up for your free membership, you will use your username and password created during registration to log in. You will receive a welcome email with instructions on what to do next. In order to be matched with a PenPal you must accept the friendship request from A Child Writes profile, ACW, which is the administrator on the site. Once you have been matched with a PenPal you will be sent a group invitation that you must join in order to interact with your PenPal. You will also be sent a group invite depending on your age that you must join in order to be invited to A Child Writes’ online parties.
