Mission Statement:
Our mission is to nourish the minds of our children by bringing them together in a safe environment working towards a common goal and educate them on important causes in order to shape strong communities.

What is A Child Writes?
A Child Writes is a free, safe environment for kids to come together, be matched with online PenPals and write to one another without the need to share personal information.  Members are invited to join fun, moderated online parties hosted on the A Child Writes site, which gives them the opportunity to interact with other children within the same age range.  During the moderated parties the conversation will be guided on a specific topic with fun age appropriate games and prizes to win.  There will never be non-moderated chats open on A Child Writes.

A Child Writes will feature a different cause, charity or organization each month.  All members are encouraged to create a card, color a picture or make a small craft to be distributed to those affected by or involved with the featured cause.  At the end of each month A Child Writes will hold a contest where three winners will be randomly chosen out of the members who sent in a card to benefit that month’s cause.  The prizes will be allocated as follows: one grand prize and two runner up prizes.  Prizes will vary each month.

A Child Writes offers a Parent Resource area including informative articles and personal experiences shared by experts in the field of the featured cause.  These articles will help the parents better understand the cause being featured as well as provide tips and insight on how to teach their children about their communities around them.

Sending in Cards for Monthly Cause — Monthly Contest
We encourage all members to be active with our monthly cause by sending in their artwork in the form of cards, coloring pages and/or pictures.  When sending in your contribution please always remember to mark the envelope or place a note inside that includes the child’s username on A Child Writes to ensure they are credited towards the monthly contest.  After mailing in your card each month please fill out the contest form.  This will also inform A Child Writes when to expect your submission and confirm your contest entries.
